Spring is right around the corner and with it comes new life

Today we ventured across the sound. We had to go and see what was going on with all our furry friends at the Olympic Game Farm. Fifteen minutes before we got to the first part of the park a new llama was born. As you can see, it was so new the birth goo (placenta sack) was still hanging off the wee babe. The odd thing that accompanied this scene right before this picture was taken: a male llama was trying to procreate with the mom! Seems the boys just can't wait around.
 Once again the ravens and the bald eagles were out in force! Last summer must have been very successful for both populations

this is mid span on the Hood Canal bridge. As you can see it is the meeting of two storms!
