Driving up along the Elwha river to Madison Falls

 The light was illuminating all the different greens and greys yesterday 
 this view is never lost on me. It is just stunning. 
 I could build a little house right here and be super content

 This is the Elwha river.
 The pewter color is from about 100 years worth of silt being freed now that the damn has been mostly removed
 The grey muck is all over the banks too. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
 Here is the Elwha elk herd, they came out to graze on the grasses while I was there yesterday
 watching the herd was incredibly peaceful 
elk, mountains, river, waterfall = perfection
