this juvenile snowy owl has decided to call the giant evergreen tree in my front yard it's home away from home this winter. It is getting wise to the ways of birders as of late and picking branches that are not easily seen from the sidewalk or street. It must get tiresome having loud humans with gigantic telescoping lens trying to take your picture day after day while you are trying to rest and recoup after a night filled with hunting.
My family and I welcome this guest, as we know how special it is to have one this far south. Although, we do now have a lot of owl droppings along our walkway to the back of the house and in our garden.
