Solar Power

Our next door neighbor, Traci decided to do her part for the environment and convert her water heater to being solar powered. She wanted to start small and knows that the only way to help out the planet is to make smart decisions surrounding her life. I find it funny how the United States might have massive military power and yet we are so behind the times on alternate ways of energy. Solar power is so under used in this country (yes, and quite expensive too) that it is not regulated yet. I wish someone would come up with a way to harness drawing energy from rain. I also wish more gyms around the country would hook up their exercise equipment to help power their own lights. Think about who much they would save from all those spin classes! I know I am dreaming here. Do your part, make your footprint a bit smaller by using cloth bags at the grocery store, take the bus, use the stairs, bring a reusable cup for your morning coffee, carpool, catch that rain in a barrel, etc... Happy Earth Day.
