National Tropical Botanical Garden (part 3)

Isn't this tree bark beautiful?
Finally! Some plumeras that were in bloom.

You'll notice that I started taking pictures of the same flowers, three trips to the same garden will do that to a person. It doesn't make them any less beautiful.





This garden really has some very random things in it.

Best picnic table ever! What a great design.
I really do like their use of plants in the walkways.

How could you not want to go there at least once?


I learned something new on this trip. Bananas are the largest herb in the world. Yes, you read that correctly.

And they aren't really grown on "trees" either! Turns out the banana plant has tightly compact leaves that mimic a tree.
The banana plant still can only produce one bunch of bananas though.
Yes, you can see the ocean from the garden.

These jasmine smelled so good!
