Hardwoods

Friday night we had our weekly meeting with our building design guy. There was only about a 2 foot wide strip of the new oak flooring laid down.
We came back by the house on Saturday at maybe 6 PM and all the oak was down! That was pretty fast work if you ask me. Of course the sanding, and finishing still has to happen. It is funny to see how some things in a remodel happen super fast while others go a lot slower.

Frank and I have been trying to guess as to what the purpose of these little wood spacers is. They are every against the walls and with the floor. Maybe they help hold the wood in place while sanding? Who knows.

In other wood news, this is part of our new banister. It was up for a bit on like Wednesday but they took it down so the floors would go in easier I think.
