I like to check out how much houses are being sold for in my neighborhood and when I go to Kauai I usually check out the houses for sale near where I am staying. The above house was just down the road from the little cottage I was staying in. And yes, this house is right on the beach. The funny thing about this 3.9 million dollar house (click on the link to see the photos) is that like all the other houses on this road it has a septic system. I just find that so funny. If the tourists would just stop flocking to the islands than the housing prices might drop and make it possible for real people to move there!
