High Price of Fame: "Silent Birth"

I am one who believes that people have the right to believe in whatever they choose. However since I am a United States citizen that means I have the freedom to comment .

Have you heard the latest? Kelly Preston and her husband are urging Katie Holmes to have a 'silent birth' when she gives birth to Tom Cruise's baby sometime next year. Apparently, Scientologists believe that children should be brought into the world without any noise or fuss. This includes that the mother not cry out in pain at anytime during her labor. They claim it helps the little one adjust to its new surroundings and gives it a great beginning to its new life.

Now wait just one moment. Sounds like denial is happening here. If the mother is in pain and needs to cry out let her. Katie has a hard life ahead of her. No drugs for pain, no drugs for depression, and remaining silent as she delivers her new baby. Will they be banning rock music and caffeine next? ( oh, wait I think that has already been done...)
