A Colorless Line

Faceless German males wear Speedos when on holiday.

Faceless Japanese tourists always have cameras hanging about their necks when on a tour.

Faceless Italians and Spanish people flirt with anything that moves.

Faceless American blondes are always easy.

Faceless British people are all reserved.

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

Your skin might be lighter or darker then mine.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

You have almond shaped eyes.
I have freckles.
He has black hair.
She has red hair.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flash and bone

I come from an industrial country.
You come from a small fishing town.
She lives out in the desert.
And he sleeps in an alleyway.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

My toes are short and stubby.
He has detached earlobes .
You have a club foot.
And she has two different colored irises.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

He finished 4th grade.
You graduated from Community College.
She never saw a school desk or a teacher.
And I got my PhD from Oxford.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

She grew up in a two parent home.
I was abandoned on a doorstep.
He lived with an Uncle.
And you lost your mom at an early age.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

You are Muslim.
He is Catholic.
I am Buddhist.
And she is an Atheist.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.

She is married.
You are gay.
He’s in a committed relationship to God.
And I am a bisexual.
But we are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone

The lines we make can be our own.
Ones we have learned from a generation past,
Can be left alone.
Remember,
We are all;

One
All the same
We are only flesh and bone.
